Office space availability in Lausanne and its regions increased slightly again in Q1 2024 to reach 127,000 sq m, following a sharp rise in vacancy in Q4 2023. This trend is mostly due to the delivery of new projects in the Western suburbs of Lausanne, such as a 38,000 sq m scheme in Bussigny, which was still almost fully vacant as of January 2024. At the same time, the availability rate in the city of Lausanne further decreased to reach of 2.4% in Q1 2024, on the back of unabated demand for central locations.
